Websites4Contractors has been rebuilt. It is a directory of US contractors who work for homeowners, and the site has been online since 2001. On the new site you add your own listing, and the price is on the page: no quote and no phone call.
Payments are not open yet, and that changes what a listing costs you today. It also comes with an end, and you should read the end before you decide. Both are below, in the same words the site shows you before you publish.
The offer, and how it ends
Publish a Basic listing free while payments are closed, with no card needed. When payments open, a listing costs $79 a year on Basic or $149 a year on Pro, plus sales tax where your state charges it.
Your listing is free until payments open, a date we do not know yet. Then we email you, and you have at least 14 days from the day we send that email to pick a plan, or the listing goes back to a draft.
Pro opens when payments open. Publish as Basic now. When payments open, you choose Basic or Pro.
About Founding listings
- Nothing is deleted when a listing goes back to a draft: it keeps its words and photos, and you can publish it again.
- A Founding listing passes the same checks as a paid listing, and its link can be paused or the listing taken down for the same reasons.
- No payment is taken for a Founding listing, so Cancel + Refund does not apply to it, and you can take it down yourself at any time.
- We may stop offering new Founding listings at any time, and one already published keeps everything it was promised. One account can have up to 3 Founding listings published at one time.

What a listing is
A listing is three things.
- Your own page. Your business name, your trade, the area you serve, a Call button with your phone number, your services, your hours and up to 5 photos.
- A link to your website. Your page links to your website, by your business's name.
- A place under your trade. Your business is listed on the directory page for your trade, with a card that opens your page.
What a listing costs once payments open
- Basic, $79 a year. Your own page and a link to your website, in 1 category.
- Pro, $149 a year. The same page and link, shown before Basic listings, in up to 3 categories.
Plus sales tax where your state charges it. Once payments open, a paid listing renews once a year until you stop it, and you can cancel it within 30 days from Your listings for a full refund. That is the Cancel + Refund named above. Its 30 days start the day you first pay for a listing, and a renewal payment does not start a new 30 days.
Who can be listed, and what we check
A business can be listed when all four of these are true:
- Homeowners are its normal customers.
- Homeowners can hire it or buy from it directly.
- It is based in the US.
- It has its own working website.
Before a listing is published, we check the business's website. It has to open securely, be the business's own site, show a US phone number and name the area the business serves. The check takes up to 30 seconds, and if it fails, we tell you what to change. You also confirm that your business works for homeowners and is based in the US.
Every new listing is checked, a Founding listing included.
What we don't do
- We don't rate or review businesses.
- We don't sell leads or take a share of any job.
- We don't promise calls, visits or search rankings.
A listing is a page in the directory and a link to your website. Businesses on the higher plan are shown first. Inside each plan, the business listed longest comes first. The order is not a rating. If you pick a plan for a Founding listing on or before its last day to pick one, the listing keeps the date it was first listed.
How to get listed
- Add your business. Create an account, then enter your business's name, trade, town, phone number and website, and say what you do.
- We check your website. It takes up to 30 seconds.
- Publish your listing. Publish it as a Founding listing. It's in the directory within 15 minutes.
